This is a good use of some time.
Praise God, is what we should feel we want to do, if we are really converted.
Searching in the Bible is probably a way to Praise God.
I myself, find it almost too absorbing, and tend to hang on many words and thoughts.
But once started, I try to read the whole Chapter around the start point.

The ways to start are quite a lot in number:-
-Open the Bible randomly.
-Read a commentary, with some start points.
-Have a conversation with someone on God.
-Listen to sermon.
-Listen to a personal testament.
